Best place to be in kodaikanal. My experiences at the hotel left me wanting more to come back only to stay in the carlton. The staff and everything else . The vicinity, and the way the hotel is maintained everything made the trip to kodaikanal worthwhile.

The School started on 03rd July 1983, with a total of 74 Students (the Boys Hostel-Prahalad & Dhruv Niketan- was then at Hotel Jaya, while the Girl's hostel -Shabari Niketan- was at a place close to Binapani - the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Office). Mrs Pramilla Rajan was the first Principle, the indomitable disciplinarian and Biology teacher who created a firm foundation for the school, with her husband Lt. Col. K. S. Rajan. It had some wonderful & dedicated teachers like Mr.Aniruddha Goswami & Mrs Nandita Goswami, Mr. & Mrs Nath, Mr. & Mrs L.B.S. Sharma, Mr. Ramesh Sahai & Mrs Malti Sahai, Miss Aruna, Miss Shubha, Mr. Mani, Mr. RadhaKrishnan, Mr. Rajiv Chanchani, Mr. R.K. and many others. The first batch of students passed out of Class XII in 1988 (a total of 10 students). The Early days saw students contributing to building the foundations of the school through Shram-Daan, students forming various Work-Groups to contribute to various duties, among other unique ways of learning the values of life.
